Dr. Olawunmi Akinwande is the Cofounder and Group Managing Director of First Equitorial Group, a leading real estate company.
With expertise spanning Healthcare, Oil & Gas, Real Estate Development, and Construction, she is a certified professional known for her strong leadership, organizational, and personnel management skills.
She has successfully led multicultural teams, built strategic relationships, and applied global best practices to achieve corporate excellence.
Her career includes roles at top firms like Forte Oil (now Ardova Petroleum Plc).
A dedicated scholar, Dr. Olawunmi holds a PhD in Business Administration from Charisma University, an MBA in Strategic Management from the Business School of Netherlands, and an MSc in Occupational & Environmental Health from Monash University, Australia—where she was a recipient of the prestigious Australian Awards.
She earned her MBBS from Lagos State University College of Medicine and has completed several professional certifications in Project Management, Cost Engineering, and Inventory Management.
She is an active member of numerous professional bodies, including the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers, and the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN).
Her contributions to the built environment earned her the “Outstanding Professional Woman in the Built Environment 2023” award from CED Magazine, as well as recognition from APWEN Lagos for her impact.
A passionate philanthropist, she co-founded First Equitorial Care Foundation in 2009, giving back to society in honor of her late husband.
As a mentor and leader, she has nurtured individuals and organizations alike. A devoted Christian and mother of three, she lives by faith and service, embodying excellence in all she does.
